Balloon Gnome

This Gnome was drawn for Carol's birthday book. It is officially the first Gnome I have colored yay.

For the birds

These are some birds I did sometime ago. I really like the stork which unfortunatley is not delivering a baby, but whatever. My verdict is still out on the owl but I figured since I had it I would post it.

Gnomes

I must confess that I sort of have a thing for drawing gnomes. active little short fat men just have a delightful sort of joie de vie about them.

I have no have no clue what to say about these dudes besides, here are some dudes.

monkey

This monkey is delightful. I have nothing else to say, but will anyways. I drew him at church as usual and think that I should probably write a story about him someday, but in the mean time I will just say that I should write a story about him and pretend it will actually happen.

Random Dancers

These sketches range back probably four years, and I could probably rip them apart better than anyone. But for some reason I have a fondness for them. I have a thing for dancers. Probably because the human body is absolutely beautiful, especially when it is fit, flexible and moving to amazing choreography.

The Lion and the Mouse

These are some of the starting sketch ideas for a children's book that my sister and I wrote. obviously the "Lion and Mouse" story is not new and wouldn't be a novelty but we had fun changing the story into a sort of balled.

I think that i might possibly add some pictures in between these. I haven't decided yet but we'll see. If I don't the book wouldn't be very long. The other sketches are still very much in progress but they have given me enough idea of length that more pictures here at the start would be better.

New Blog

Technically the title is a lie. This isn't a new blog. I was actually forced to begin this blog several years ago for a persuasive writing class. I just didn't feel like leaving all of those posts up for the world to see, so they were dismissed. I also changed the name and the entire reason for the blog in general. I decided to turn it into a place for me to post sketches that I felt like keeping, along with some sort of explanation, instead of leaving them stacked in a random box off in my closet somewhere.
I also have some children's book ideas floating about and this would be a perfect place to put ideas and sketches. Any way you look at it this blog is just a place for random things.

Duck

I drew this duck at, surprise, church. My friend Dustin inspired it, though I confess the reason why would label him as a sort of hippy. Anyhow when I showed it to him he got all excited and said the only thing that didn't fit the image in his mind was the straw in the mouth. Whatever, I gret to take some artistic liberty.

Henry

This is Henry. I drew him at church one day which is where most of my drawing originate. He does have a story and now that I've put him somewhere and actually written about him he might gt it written down we will see.
